I was delighted to receive in the mail a photo book from my sister. It’s a fantastic gift for any photographer to be able to see your own photos in print. She had created it with my photos through a site called Artifact Uprising — a small company that proclaims to be “inspired by the disappearing beauty of the tangible.” I’m certainly inspired and excited to make one myself!
The book is printed with a matte finish in a nice textured softcover of decent thickness. They also offer hard cover books, wooden boxes and wood calendars sourced from Colorado beetle-kill pine.
Flipping through each page excitedly and seeing my photos in printed form reminded me of what it was like when shooting with film and picking up the processed prints. Of course, this is much better. I highly recommend you consider creating a photo book of your own.
