Pen and Ink: Texture Mapping

Tonight was my last pen and ink class, which I'll surely miss. Over the past eight weeks, I learned a variety of techniques drawing with pen and ink. My favorite part was learning to use ink and color washes. Although most of what I've created in this class is not so great, it was fun to see what other students made. It's amazing to see that everyone will come up with something entirely different even when given the same subject to draw and tool to use. The drawing above was an assignment on creating a variety of made-up textures and mapping them according to the values in the cat.
