Waimea from Above

All photos of Oahu are finally posted here on Flickr. The photo above was taken from the site of the Pu’u O Mahuka Heiau historical landmark. It is described as Oahu’s largest temple where human sacrifices once took place. Yikes! I bet this place can be pretty spooky at night. No human bones were spotted—just a bunch of rocks. Although its location on top of a bluff provides an amazing view of the Waimea coast.
